I am trying to convert the 30:15 IFT to a VO2max score by writing formula. What should enter for gender as a male = 1 and a female = 2 in the original 30:15 equation.

SOLUTION

Replace 'gender' by '(2-gender)' in the equation. See complete formula below:

(28.3-(2.15*(2-gender))-(0.741*age)-(0.0357*bweigh)+(0.0586*age)*ift+(1.03*ift))
